Les Fondus de la Raclette Montparnasse brings a new concept French restaurant to the Montparnasse area of Paris. Lovers of cheese will simply adore this great Parisian restaurant, fondue is the name of the game and boy is it good. Just like its sister restaurant Les Fondus II "Mairie du 18ème", the interior is warm and inviting, with lots of light wood, neutral colours and a lovely rustic feel. The tables each have their own grill built into them, a nice touch and an important one to keep the quality of the food top class. The menu features a good selection of fondues, raclettes and grills and the tastes are truly exquisite. Try the superb Fondue Bourguignonne or the raclette served with bacon and ham. There are copious salads which form the perfect accompaniment. Desserts are really reasonable at around 4 to 5 Euros each with delights such as chocolate mousse and crème brulee to round things off nicely. Lunchtimes are popular with the 22 Euro 3 course meal- a steal for local business types and tourists looking for somewhere different to eat. Les Fondus de la Raclette Montparnasse is a great alternative amongst Paris’ restaurant’s and the best place to try a truly spectacular fondue.
