Le Jarrier, situated in the pretty town of Biot just outside of Cannes, is a Michelin star restaurant serving an excellent menu of fine French cuisine. The décor here is simple, yet warm and friendly with lots of colour; the large windows are draped with huge red curtains, the seating is red in contrast to the stunning white linens and the artwork is modern and vibrant. The views across the valley are simply beautiful and are the perfect backdrop for a superb Michelin star meal. There are some fantastic set menus to choose from as well as a la carte, with some exceptional choices: roasted guinea fowl with mashed potato purée, onions, olives and gravy, pan fried sea bream with green asparagus and passion dressing or roasted breast of duck with pepper, stewed peach and fig, pan fried foie gras and pistachio. The wine list is extensive, mostly French as one would naturally assume, and listed by province. Le Jarrier cater for all types of events from weddings to business lunches to private parties and are happy to design a menu to suit. Truly worthy of their coveted award, this restaurant is a must for all gourmets’s visiting the area.
