Opera singing owner Francios Quesnel has a gem of a restaurant in Paris’ Le Chateau de L’Ouest

Just down the road from one of Paris’s major railway stations Gare Montparnasse is the superb French restaurant Le Chateua de L’Ouest. The owner of this delightful establishment is Francois Quesnel, a colourful man who not only heads up this rather successful restaurant, but is also an opera singer in his spare time. Quesnel dedicates as much passion into his cooking as he does his singing and the results are fantastic. The atmosphere at Le Chateau de L’Ouest (The Castle of the West) is a friendly one where guests feel immediately at home. The décor is traditional with warm tones and pure white linens and the large conservatory windows allow the light to flood in. The menu boasts a good selection of high standard meat and fish dishes such as filet of dorada with camembert, salmon baked in salt and dill and duck confit and desserts such as crème caramel and chocolate molleux should not be missed.
