DeDa – Saveurs Géorgiennes is a restaurant, delicatessan, wine cellar and bakery all rolled into one and can be found in the Les Halles district of Paris in the 1st arrondissement. This fantastic establishment, meaning « mother » in Georgian, opened its doors to the French capital in 2008 and has introduced the cuisine of Georgia to the people of Paris. The setting is perfect with a warm and friendly restaurant and a delightful garden complete with wrought iron patio furniture, pretty water features and a vine working its way up the garden wall. The smell of freshly cooked bread from the bakery is enough to lure you inside where the menu offers tasty traditional Georgian dishes such as beef and herb khinkalis (raviolis), kebabs, stuffed lamb, blinis and the most delicious hot bread stuffed with cheese. There is a great selection of wines from the well stocked cellar and if you want to try some of these delicacies at home juts pop into the adjoining delicatessan.
