The restaurant is the inspiration of a blind charity and began as a way for sighted people to experience what it is like to be blind, but has now taken Paris by storm and is packed out every night. You are greeted at the bar by hip young staff who are all in black and wearing headsets. You choose your menu at this point, electing either the surprise menu (which is the best way to experience this restaurant) or by choosing your dishes the traditional way from a selection of french dishes with a modern twist. Once you have selected your meal you are led into the darkness by a blind waiter where you are seated to enjoy your meal, experiencing a whole new meaning to dining out. After your meal you can adjourn to the comfortable, modern lounge to relax and enjoy a post meal drink. Dans le Noir is an incredible experience for those who like to try something new and opens up taste sensations you never knew you had.
