Walk into the Blue Elephant Paris and you will find yourself among lush plants, colourful orchids and a forest of trees whilst the murmur of the waterfall gives an air of peace and tranquility making you forget that you are in one of Paris’ busiest areas- the Bastille. The authenticity of the cuisine is assured by weekly deliveries of herbs, spices, fruits and other produce flown directly from the Bangkok market and is carefully prepared by a team of Thai chefs. Try the starter of som tam – shredded green papaya with lemon dressing and dried shrimps, main course of lamb massaman curry and a fresh Thai fruit concoction for dessert. For newcomers to Thai food or simply for those who do not like their food too hot, small red elephants appear next to each dish on the menu indicating their strength. Beware of the 3 elephant dishes, they are dynamite!
