Azteca is Paris’ oldest Mexican restaurant and probably one of the city’s most favourite too. Situated in the heart of the les Halles area of the city, Azteca has a loyal following, which really comes as no surprise once you step inside this wonderful historical building. The atmosphere inside is intimate and traditional, all of the original features have been preserved such as the wooden beams and the stone walls. The main feature is the wonderful vaulted cellars, made entirely of stone, where tables line the walls and a small bar is situated in one corner. The décor is rich in Mexican style with paintings, rugs and lots of colourful Mexican prints here and there. The food is top quality, with all of the classic to choose from such as fajitas, homemade guacamole, enchiladas, along with specials such as devilled shrimps (hot and spicy). Calm your palate down with a wonderful mango flambé for dessert. Live mariachi music will transport you to Mexico and really gets the party going. Its good humour all round and a fun time for all at the Azteca restaurant, perfect for a night out with friends and family.
